shooting mosquitoes with a laser, DIY

Does the "zeitgeist" somehow endorse shooting mosquitoes with a laser?

The prototype in the news, was able to shoot mosquitoes (news), had grave shortcomings.

Blogs saw the problems, but the initiative's solutions seem unsatisfactory -- like option of shooting a high-power laser vs. "slowly cooking" the (dancing? falling?) mosquito.

Thus, if I would start from that news, then I would probably immediately neglect that, as that is several research & investment questions -- which some big corporation might or might not tackle.

The system with a laser, is mostly to work like the iSlaMos (to slam all mosquitoes) system, now I propose. Therefore, no need to list all of the system next. Laser-specific problem list is this:

After inviting the mosquito into the trap box, shooting with a high-power laser is safe, but that box has to be durable. If elephants or falling logs would expose the laser, then people or animals passing by, might become blind -- if looking, when that would shoot.

Laser shoots the mosquito, vaporizing a portion. What about the rest? That is a question of burying vs. cremating the corpse. If the trap is internally conical (or, pyramid), the mosquito will fall to a point, and the processing might work there. (To work that way, the trap must stand upright, or all of the [six] walls need to work thus.)

For shooting, I thought the normal light-path method. That is, if the mosquito is in the path, the sensor in the opposite end, will know. Then, shoot the mosquito. In that trap, the light (for sensor) is pretty sharp, especially if first passing through a tiny hole. Furthermore, the sensor will know the mosquito, when shadowing is there. Thus, the portion of light going elsewhere, is not a trouble (thus, no need to rareify that light, a lot). The regular infrared that might attract the mosquito, would probably help, too. (A few independent light paths might exist, for sensing & shooting the mosquitoes.)

Islamic people would oppose burning or drowning that mosquito "slowly" (torturously). Presumably, Islam might allow weighing that with the self-defense logic about what mosquitoes inflict to people, but as we might trivially work with the regular rules for killing insects, then we need to keep that first rule. Therefore, immediately killing (with a high-wattage laser), is necessary. Likewise, in the case of that mosquito falling while living, the facility for cremating the mosquito should cremate in split-millisecond time, too. Thus, the mosquito's neural system will never sense the process as a "burning."
